Intentional letter
We have the pleasure of informing you that on 25th March 2003 "The Society for the Quality of Medical Care" was established in Ostróda.
The aims of the Society are:
- To improve the accessibility to new diagnostic medical methods (computer-assisted tomography -CAT, Surgical X-ray TV- monitor, laryngological surgical microscope, diagnostic monitors, pulse oxymeters, capnographs, infusion pumps, surgical tools, Doppler Scan, densitometer).
- Supporting and initiating actions that create better access to specialists (e.g. the organization of "White Sundays" etc.).
- Assisting in the organization of health centres and self-help groups.
- Recognizing the needs of the severely ill and organizing help for this group of patients (e.g. a "mobile" hospice).
- Recognizing the needs of and possibilities of organizing a Home for the Chronically Ill.
The Society achieves its aims through:
- Cooperation with government institutions of the town, commune, district and province.
- Cooperation with other similar societies and organizations.
- Cooperation with pharmaceutical companies.
- Cooperation with twin towns outside Poland.
- Cooperation with other medical centres and Polish organizations abroad.
- Organizing Charity Events.
- Searching for individual sponsors.
- Cooperation with Scientific Societies.
- Cooperation with economic subjects and their representatives (various? ? chambers of commerce, business organizations).
As the aims of our Society are particularly close to you, we are convinced that our future cooperation will benefit all residents of our region.
